Storax syrup is a nerve-protecting medicine used to treat stroke, head injury, alzheimer’s disease, and memory loss in parkinson’s disease. It works on the brain by nourishing the nerve cells, protecting them from damage, and improving survival.
You will give this medication dose based on your medical condition as prescribed by the doctor. Take this oral syrup on with or without food as prescribed by the doctor with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Before taking syrup, check the label for directions. Shake it well before every use.
Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Do not take this medication longer than recommended by the doctor. Do not skip the dose even if you feel better to complete the entire course.
The most common side effects are stomach pain, decreased blood pressure, diarrhoea, and irregular heart rate. If the symptoms persist or worsen, you need to consult your doctor immediately. Your doctor may help you with other ways to reduce or prevent these side effects. Avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking this medicine. You must take adequate rest for fast recovery, also take healthy diet and drink plenty of water.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medication.
