Palido tablets are used to treat schizophrenia (a mental disorder that can cause hallucinations or delusions and also negatively impact a person's ability to think and behave) and mania.
You can take palido tablets with or without food. However, it is recommended to take it simultaneously every day as this helps maintain a constant level of the drug in the body. Take this in the dose and duration recommended by your doctor and if you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. You should not stop this medicine suddenly without talking to your doctor because it may worsen your symptoms. However, stop this drug immediately if you develop malignant neuroleptic syndrome (nms), characterized by fever, muscle rigidity, and impaired consciousness.
Some of the common side effects of this drug include nystagmus (involuntary eye movements) and tremors. It also causes dizziness and drowsiness, so don't drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. You should be careful when using this drug as it can increase your risk of developing diabetes, so it is best to monitor your glucose regularly.
Tell your doctor if you experience any unusual mood or behaviour changes, new or worsening depression or thoughts of suicide while taking this medicine.
