Alex syrup is a combination of two medicines, namely chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride. It works by narrowing the small blood vessels and provides relief from runny nose, stuffy nose, watery eyes and congestion.

Do not stop taking this syrup because your symptoms may come back and worsen the condition. Take this syrup as directed by your doctor.The most common side effects of this syrup are nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness. Avoid alcohol consumption. It may cause excessive drowsiness. Do not drive if you experience drowsiness or dizziness.
