Oracool gel is used to treat mouth ulcers. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) which cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. Which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to the brain which decreases the pain sensation.
This medication is used alone. You are advised to take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor.
Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to become pregnant.
