It works by removing the extra water and electrolytes from your body by increasing the amount of urine produced.

take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. while taking this medication, you should take a balanced diet, reduce salt intake, and exercise regularly. It should be taken, with food in the morning. Do not take this medication during nighttime because it may cause frequent urination during nighttime.

common side effects are glucose intolerance, sleepiness, ankle swelling, headache, flushing, tiredness, palpitations, nausea, increased blood uric acid, decreased potassium levels in the blood, and altered blood lipid level. If these symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor. drink plenty of water to prevent dehydration.

inform your doctor if you experience extreme thirst, muscle weakness, and ankle swelling while taking this medication. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, (or) intend to be pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any heart problems.
