ASCORIL FLU is a combination of two medicines, namely chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine hydrochloride. It works by narrowing the small blood vessels and provides relief from runny nose, stuffy nose, watery eyes and congestion.
Do not stop taking this syrup because your symptoms may come back and worsen the condition. Take this syrup as directed by your doctor.The most common side effects of this syrup are nausea, vomiting, headache and dizziness. Avoid alcohol consumption. It may cause excessive drowsiness. Do not drive if you experience drowsiness or dizziness.
Drink plenty of water while taking this syrup. It usually starts working within minutes and lasts up to several hours. Before taking this syrup, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant or breastfeeding and have liver disease, heart disease and hyperthyroidism.
