Gelusil syrup is an antacid used to treat acidity, indigestion, gastritis, and stomach upset. It works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or bleaching. It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the gastric tract.
This medication dose and duration will be given based on your medical condition as prescribed by the doctor. Take this syrup orally with food or without food. Take the required dose of this syrup using the measuring cup and shake the bottle well before each use. Medication must not be stopped unless told by your doctor. Do not take this medication longer than recommended by your doctor.
