Natural progesterone cream is a biologically identical form of the hormone progesterone (bio-identical) that when applied directly to the skin, can be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream. It is used in supplement form for many purposes, but is most commonly used as a natural version of hormone therapy to help women with hormone imbalances or menopause symptoms.

Though it has many benefits, it’s important to note that natural progesterone cream can also cause some unwanted side effects such as breast pain. The reason why this might occur is because when bio-identical hormones are applied topically, they enter circulation almost immediately; whereas when these hormones are taken orally or in supplement form they have to go through digestion processes first before being available for utilization by your body — this delays their entry into circulation and allows your body time to adjust more gradually.

Therefore with direct application of natural progesterone cream you may experience sudden changes in hormonal levels which could trigger temporary symptoms like breast pain. This effect may be compounded if you apply too much of the product or if you apply it too often — both can cause excess levels of hormones in your system which could increase side effects like breast pain.

Other potential causes for breast pain related to using natural progesterone cream include allergic reactions or irritation from certain ingredients found in some products; including parabens (preservatives), fragrances/perfumes, mineral oils, waxes etc…If your breasts become sore after applying any sort of topical product make sure you discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional right away if necessary.
