Side effects of oxytocin injections are typically mild and include nausea, vomiting, headache, and dizziness. Rare but more serious side effects can include anaphylaxis (a serious allergic reaction) and convulsions.

Misoprostol injections may lead to chest pain, shortness of breath, rapid heartbeat, or sweating. Rare but more serious side effects can include heart attack and death.

Mifepristone injections may lead to severe bleeding, infection, fever, or other problems. Serious but rare side effects can include death.
