Yes, there is a permanent treatment for rheumatoid arthritis in Ayurveda. In Ayurveda, the primary goal of management is to improve the patient’s immune system by restoring balance between Vata (air and ether), Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha (earth and water) dosha. It also involves strengthening the body’s natural ability to heal itself from illness or injury.
The most common treatments for rheumatoid arthritis include herbs such as Shallaki (Boswellia serrata), Ginger, Garlic, Amla powder etc., along with specific diet modifications like reducing intake of fried foods/caffeine/alcohol/spicy food etc., lifestyle changes including stress reduction techniques through breathing exercises like pranayama or yoga asanas, physical therapies like massages with oil made from medicinal herbs, special kind of kizhi therapy etc.
Ayurvedic remedies are very effective when it comes to treating any chronic disease such as rheumatoid arthritis because it helps in eliminating not just the symptom but also its root cause - an impaired immune system that leads to inflammation & pain on joints. Herbal medicines help by enhancing immunity which generates an effective balance between Th1 (responsible for cell-mediated response) & Th2 cytokines thus controlling inflammation & relieving joint pain but long-term use of these medicines should be done under physician's supervision only since excessive doses can result in significant toxicity leading to potential health hazards later on.
