 Trauma nurses are nurses who have specialized training in the care of patients with traumatic injuries. This may include both physical and psychological injuries. Trauma nurses work in emergency departments and in trauma intensive care units.

ICU nurses are nurses who have specialized training in the care of patients who are critically ill and require intensive care. They may work in any type of hospital setting, including ICUs, medical-surgical units, coronary care units, or step-down units.
