Yes, it is true that vaping can cause popcorn lung. Popcorn lung, also known as bronchiolitis obliterans, is a serious and irreversible lung disease which is caused by the inhalation of diacetyl – an ingredient found in many e-cigarettes.

When e-cigarettes heat up their liquids, chemicals like propylene glycol and glycerin break down into other compounds like formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. Some of these breakdown products may still contain traces of diacetyl which could cause popcorn lung when inhaled over a long period of time.

Studies have also shown that compared to traditional cigarettes, vaping can be even more detrimental to our lungs due to the amount and type of chemical exposure happening with each puff. The aerosol produced by vaping contains ultrafine particles that penetrate deeper into our lungs than cigarette smoke does. This increases inflammation levels in the airways leading to respiratory issues such as asthma or COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Popcorn Lung is a dangerous condition caused by extended exposure to certain chemicals used in vape juice production; therefore it's important for vapers to check labels on vape juices they are considering trying out before purchasing them. It's also important for consumers not to expose themselves longer than necessary while using an e-cigarette device – no matter how much nicotine or flavor you're looking for!
