There is no one single test to determine if someone is developing a psychosis. However, there are certain warning signs that may suggest that a person is at risk for developing a psychotic disorder. These warning signs can include changes in mood, behavior, and thinking; having hallucinations or delusions; and having problems with daily functioning.
If you are experiencing any of these warning signs, it is important to seek help from a mental health professional as soon as possible. Early intervention is critical in preventing the development of a full-blown psychotic disorder.
