Q. Does brain tumor treatment in homeopathy work?
Doctor Answer is medically reviewed by SecondMedic medical review team.
A tumor is an abnormal growth of cells that can divide uncontrollably and invade other organs or tissues in body. Cancer is a type of tumor where the cells contain genetic changes that allow them to grow faster and more aggressively than normal. In some cases, tumors can form benign (non-cancerous) while in other cases they are malignant (cancerous). Benign tumors do not have cancer potential but may cause symptoms due to their size or location. Malignant tumors however, can spread throughout the body and become invasive, these types of cancer pose significant health risks.
Tumors come in all sizes, shapes and locations; most commonly they are classified by their origin tissue (carcinomas originating from epithelial layer such as breast cancers), location (primary – originating within the organ or secondary when it has spread from another site) or how aggressive they behave(well differentiated, moderately differentiated , poorly differentiated). Depending on the type of tumor treatment options vary greatly, ranging from medications for non-invasive slow growing tumors to surgery for removing large primary tumors through radiation therapy which uses X rays to kill small individualized microtumors embedded deep inside the tissue or chemotherapy which employs drugs targeting rapidly dividing cell populations like cancer cells . Additionally immunotherapies like vaccines can be used when standard treatments no longer work.
Overall with early diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan much progress is being made in treating this devastating condition with many patients now achieving long term survival even when diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer.
