What is circumoral cyanosis, and what are its causes?

 Circumoral cyanosis is a blue discoloration of the skin around the mouth. It can be due to a number of causes, including heart disease and lung diseases such as emphysema. In some cases, it can also be caused by low blood oxygen levels (hypoxia).
