Piles laser surgery is a relatively new procedure that uses a high-intensity laser to seal off the blood vessels that supply blood to the hemorrhoids. This cuts off the hemorrhoid's blood supply and causes it to shrink and eventually fall off.
The surgery is done as an outpatient procedure, usually under local anesthesia. There are generally few if any complications, and patients can generally return to their normal activities within a few days.
