In order to improve prostate health, men should be aware of both lifestyle and dietary changes that can help.
First and foremost, it's important to exercise regularly. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity five days a week, as well as some strength training exercises such as squats and push-ups. Doing this will reduce your risk of many chronic diseases while improving heart health which in turn is beneficial to overall prostate health.
It's also important to watch what you eat. Eating a healthier diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains and fatty fish like salmon will provide the body with vitamins and minerals it needs for proper functioning of all organs including the prostate glands. Furthermore, avoiding processed foods filled with salt and sugar can reduce inflammation in the body leading to better functioning of necessary bodily systems like those needed for healthy prostrate production.
Alongside diet changes there are supplements that have been shown to have benefits on preserving or even improving prostate health over time; these include Saw Palmetto extract, Lycopene from tomato products or supplements such as Vitamin E or Vitamin D3 which may help prevent benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It’s always best to talk with your doctor before beginning any supplement regimen specifically related to your Prostate Health so they can recommend dosages suitable for you based on your age or other risk factors you may have regarding other supplements/medications taken concurrently. Lastly avoid excess alcohol intake - alcohol has been linked with an increase in certain cancers including prostrate cancer so it’s best avoided if possible when trying maintain optimal levels of Prostate Health.[1]
