Yes, it is theoretically possible for a woman to become pregnant by a man who has had a vasectomy. While it is generally accepted that the procedure provides an effective form of contraception, it is not considered to be 100?fective in preventing pregnancy.
This can occur due to various factors, such as incomplete blocking of both the sperm ducts and/or failure of some sperm to pass through the blocked passages. It may also occur if there's regrowth or reconnection of one or more parts of the reproductive tract after surgery; this rare occurrence could potentially restore connections between the testicles and uterus - thus allowing live sperm to reach an egg - resulting in conception.
In fact, according to reports available online, studies have shown that on average 1-2 women out of every 1000 who rely solely upon their partner’s vasectomy as birth control will get pregnant each year following the procedure. In addition, an article published in Fertility & Sterility (a peer-reviewed scientific journal) concluded that about 4 out of every 1,000 women still get pregnant even though their male partners have undergone vasectomies!
Therefore it is recommended that those couples undergoing infertility treatments consult with their specific physician(s) regularly–especially in cases where they are using contraception methods such as Vasectomies–to ensure that procedures are performed correctly and any potential risks are minimized when embarking on parenthood journeys so you don't risk having any unwanted surprises along your journey!
