would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Maruthesh Gowda Sir for the excellent care and support during my surgery. He is a highly professional, humble, and compassionate doctor who explains things clearly and makes patients feel comfortable and confident.

I had consult Dr Maruthesh Gowda on behalf of my father who lives in Bangalore. I stay in Dallas for work purposes. On routine master health check up my father was found to have gallstones and was advised immediate surgery. I got reference from my another software friend who had consulted him in Bangalore before. I was so relieved after consulting doctor. Doctor explained about gallstones, what complications it can cause and after looking at all the results he said we need surgery but not as emergency. He explained risks of infection, jaundice and pancreatitis and chances of it happening – 2%/year. He advised us avoid fatty meals till day of surgery and I have scheduled to travel in 3 months and get surgery at that time. He has assured if any emergency happens he will take care anytime. So relieving.

Consulted Dr Maruthesh Gowda when my mother felt lump in the breast. From the first visit we were impressed with how methodically treatment was planned. No cutting of corners. Does not scare the patient. Even though he knew breast lump was a cancer he did not tell from first visit. Asked us to triple assessment of breast lump with ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy. Special tests were done to find more about cancer. Luckily my mother did not need mastectomy. Only breast lump was removed with samples from axilla which were negative for cancer. Even at the age of 80 we stayed only for 1 day. Pain was minimal. Cancer was hormone sensitive so did not need chemotherapy. ** Cancer surgery was also done without any complications. Highly recomonded.

I had my Laparoscopic Bilateral inguinal hernia surgery by Dr Maruthesh Gowda when I travelled to Bangalore recently. I was on NHS waiting list eternally. Quality of care and surgery and communication was better organised than NHS. Doctor helped me to get laparoscopic hernia surgery done at Indian cost as international patients are charged more than double. Morning admission, hernia surgery after 2 hours and home by evening without being on waiting list seems like dream. Flight back after 5 days. Just wonderful.

My experience with Dr. Maruthesh Gowda was good. He explained everything clearly. However, the waiting time was too long, about an hour, even though we arrived early. It would be better if delays are communicated in advance so patients can plan accordingly. Overall, I would recommend him.

My cousin developed severe pain suddenly and was panicking. My friend who was in similar condition to mine got great help from Dr Maruthesh Gowda for emergency gallstone surgery (I believe Laparoscopic cholecystectomy) for his wife in Bangalore. So I contacted him and I can’t thank him enough. My cousin had swelling in her abdomen which was umbilical hernia. Part of small intestine was struck in hernia and she was vomiting all the food she had taken since morning. Doctor helped her to get admitted as emergency and did emergency umbilical hernia surgery. Since he was able to do it with in 3 hours he was able to save the intestine which was struck without needing it to be removed. He saved my cousin’s life with timely emergency umbilical hernia surgery. She was back home after 2 days, independent walking and doing her daily activities. I could avoid emergency travel and problems that come with it in current condition.
