Description

Met XL Trio 50 Tablet 10's is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) which reduces the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke. High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nose bleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnea (shortness of breath). Met XL Trio 50 Tablet contains Cilnidipine, metoprolol and telmisartan. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood pressure when single or dual therapy is not effective. Cilnidipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) and telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol is a beta blocker that works specifically on the heart to slow down the heart rate.

Directions for use

•  It should be taken as directed by your doctor and in the prescribed quantity.
•  Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water with or without food. Do not cut, break or chew the medicine.

•  It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you are sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
•  It may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
•  Do not stop taking Met XL Trio 50 Tablet suddenly without talking to your doctor.
•  Quit smoking and avoid alcohol
•  Limit dietary intake of sodium chloride in the form of common salt
•  Monitor blood pressure regularly
•  Do regular exercises and try to maintain body weight
•  Consult your doctor before taking Met XL Trio 50 Tablet if you are pregnant
