Dabipla capsule is an anticoagulant that prevents and treats blood clots. It is used to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack by preventing blood clots formation in the veins of the legs, lungs, brain, and heart.
This capsule is commonly used in patients with an irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) to prevent blood clots from forming. It also reduces the risk of blood clots in people who have had a knee or hip replacement. It can be taken with or without food, but it is best to take them at the same time each day. You may need to take this medicine for many years, in some cases, even for life.
Do not stop taking or change the dosage without your doctor's advice. This can quickly increase your risk of heart attack, stroke, or thrombosis (formation of a blood clot in a blood vessel). You can reduce your risk of blood clots by making lifestyle changes, such as not smoking, eating healthy, exercising regularly, and losing weight as needed.
The most common side effects of dabipla capsules are stomach pain and easier bleeding than usual, for example, nosebleeds or bruising. Other side effects include headaches, seizures, allergic reactions, vision changes, and fatigue. If you experience any of these symptoms, tell your doctor right away.
Do not take this medicine if you have severe kidney or liver problems, are currently bleeding, or are taking other medicines to reduce blood clotting. You should not breastfeed while using this medicine. Unlike other anticoagulants, no periodic blood tests (ptinr) are needed while taking this medicine. You should not breastfeed while using this medicine.
