There are a few things that could be causing the throat pain when you swallow. It could be a sign of acid reflux, where stomach acids flow back up into your esophagus and throat. The pain could also be caused by swallowing too much air, which can happen when you drink carbonated beverages or eat quickly. Lastly, it's also possible that you have a sore throat or an infection.

If the pain is severe or lasts for more than a day or two, it's best to see your doctor to get it checked out.
