One of the things that surprised me most about being pregnant was just how much my body changed and adapted throughout the course of my pregnancy. While I expected to experience some physical changes, such as an expanding belly and various aches and pains, what I didn't anticipate was the way in which my hormones shifted during this time. This led to some very unexpected emotions, ranging from sudden bursts of joy to bouts of anxiety and depression. On top of that, every trimester seems to bring its own set of symptoms - both emotionally and physically. For example, around one point or another during each trimester I experienced extreme fatigue, backache, headaches (more often than before!), food cravings or aversions (which changed on a daily basis), frequent urination – you name it! It all came with but so many different life lessons- learning patience through all those sleepless nights & progressing through each new stage with grace & dignity despite any challenges that may come up along the way. All these things taught me more than I could ever have imagined about myself & ultimately made this pregnancy journey one powerful adventure!
