There are a few pregnancy issues that need immediate treatment, such as ectopic pregnancies, miscarriages, and premature labor.
Ectopic pregnancies occur when the embryo implants outside of the uterus, usually in the fallopian tubes. If left untreated, an ectopic pregnancy can cause serious internal bleeding. A miscarriage is the spontaneous loss of a pregnancy before 20 weeks gestation. Premature labor is labor that begins before 37 weeks gestation. Premature birth can lead to health problems for the baby.
