I am writing this review based on my experience with the care of a patient. In March 2024, the patient was found to have a 1.2 × 1.5 cm lung nodule with a prior history of prostate cancer (diagnosed in 2019). Given the oncological history and the radiological appearance of the lesion* * * an EBUS was performed, which did not provide a definitive diagnosis ** ** ** * ** ** * Subsequently, following PET-CT findings showing FDG uptake, * ** ** . The final diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma was established in April 2026, approximately two years after the lung nodule was first identified. ** ** * * I believe earlier tissue diagnosis may have allowed treatment at an earlier stage and potentially expanded the patient's treatment options. I hope this feedback encourages greater emphasis on clinicoradiological correlation, multidisciplinary discussion, and timely tissue diagnosis in patients with suspicious pulmonary nodules, particularly those with a prior history of malignancy.
