Dr. Ritupurna Dash

I stay in Bangalore and have been suffering from painful lesions (erythma nodusum) in my right leg since June 2016. I have been to many speciality doctors in different hospitals and almost all of them had told that it is very difficult to diagnose as what we are seeing is a symptom which can occur due to multiple causes and hence they put me on steroids but with no improvement unfortunately. Then I consulted Dr Ritupurna for second opinion(and sent my reports to her online) and in the first talk itself she said that this looks like Scleroderma and not erythema nodosum. She also got my biopsy slides read from separate biopsy specialist; and it got diagnosed as Scleroderma. I was amazed to see the results of biopsy as it was exactly what she had suspected in the first go and I was on wrong treatment for so long. She gave me the confidence that she will make sure that my problem is resolved. No doctor had given me that confidence and it matters a lot when you're clueless about what is happening to you. Dr Ritupurna is very friendly, helpful, soft spoken . She patiently listened to all my queries and answered clearly in detail. Though I was consulting her from different city, she always took time out from her schedule and explained everything thoroughly. Her medicines have helped a lot and now movement is lot better. I would highly recommend Dr Ritupurna.

I had an ingrowing toe nail, and as a consequence of growth, the toe also got infected. Subsequently, it also started to pain. Dr.Dash thoroughly explained the problem I was suffering from in very simple words. She advised me to undergo the surgery to chemically cauterize the nail. She performed the surgery with the least possible invasion and bare minimum pain. I could easily walk after the surgery and resumed my normal routine after 36 hours. When Dr Dash diagnosed me, she counselled me very patiently and reassuringly. I looked up the internet and came to know that my condition was difficult to diagnose for doctors and the treatment was a bit tricky - one would go down a real messy track if the diagnosis goes wrong! However, Dr Dash was very confident and I trusted her. She put me on some tough antibiotics and once my system was ready, I got the injections in the lesions in my arm pit. And the lesions vanished overnight! She not just treated my condition but also my concerns.

I visited Max Hospital, Vaishali today for my appointment with Dr. Rituparna Dash as I am suffering from Pemphigus Vulgaris. I had carried all my previous medical reports and had a few important questions regarding some treatment options that we have heard about from other doctors. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Dr. Dash was not willing to listen to my queries or answer my doubts. She even didn’t ** check my current condition – when I tried to show her my new erosions, she simply said that she already knows* Instead of providing clarity or guidance, she behaved very rudely and simply handed over her prescription. Our appointment time was 12:00 PM, and we reached at 12:20 PM, slightly late. For this, she remarked that if I had doubts, I should have come exactly at my appointment time. * ** ** ** ** Throughout the consultation, her tone was rude and dismissive. ** ** * * ** ** ** ** * *

I reside in US and was getting treated there. I came here for a vacation and went to the doctor for a second opinion, which I mentioned during the initial discussion. I suffer from facial acne and lesions on my legs, arms and back. The doctor first scoffed at the US doctors for the diagnosis I shared ** ** I wasn't asked any questions ** * ** ** ** In fact, I was told that I was consulted for more than the stipulated time (10 mins was the the consultation time, as per the doctor). In conclusion, even though the medications may or may not work, I would not visit the doctor again or recommend her keeping in mind my experience on the visit.
