Dr. Sumit Talwar

Recently, I had been to Manipal Hospital, for the removal of Cyst on my back of the body. I had an appointment with Dr. Sumit Talwar (Bariatric Surgeon and General Surgeon), actually he is really an AMAZING person, when it comes to understanding the speculated conditions of patients issues and not only he is good at talking to patients with a SMILE ON HIS FACE, but also good at listening PEACEFULLY to patients. He explained me in DETAIL, regarding the treatment and the package to remove cyst. He gave me all the options and that actually made me comfortable to choose which is adaptable to me, and this is what we expect from a doctor, to make comfortable for us in the matter of treatment as well as cost of the complete treatment. It's my pleasure to meet such a WONDERFUL person. And, I'm DELIGHTED by his concern. Meanwhile, Dr. Sujatha came into the scenario, in order to operate on me to remove the cyst. She is an OUTSTANDING, when it comes to the matter of Surgery. Throughout my surgery, she use to talk to me, in order to avoid me to not to get tensed. This attitude shows that, she knows how exactly a patient feels during the operation. Hence, I really CONGRATULATE her for doing an EXCELLENT surgery. And I thank her a lot for that scenario with Extraordinary Performance by EMPATHY. Hence, I'm really GRATEFUL to Dr. Sujatha. Actually, I must say another important attitude of Dr. Sujatha, she always presents herself as a common person (Layman). She treats patients as her friend, and I guess, that's why she always talks to patients in a friendly manner. Hence, myself and my family, we are impressed by this attitude. Finally, I would like to THANK Dr. Sumit Talwar and Dr. Sujatha for doing Surgery.

"The" Dr. Sumit Talwar is one of the best surgeon i have ever seen. I got Appendicitis and its quite in a critical situation and according to the doctor there would be no problem. I am after 7 months while giving this feedback very happy with the whole experience with the doctor and now by looking at my operated place on my body no one can tell that i have ever been in operation. Very rare doctors have the capability to do appendicitis operation in only one hole.and the next day of my operation he made me walk as per he promised. He is very friendly doctor ,helpful and the best one and he will never give you unnecessary medicines.He always understand the patient's condition properly both from the medical and personal view. Once again Thank You very much to the doctor which will never be enough for him.

I consulted Dr. Sumit Talwar for an anal abscess issue. Unfortunately, my experience with him was less than satisfactory. Dr. Talwar has egotistical behaviour and acts very professional. Moreover, he failed to provide clear explanations regarding my condition, often responding with dismissive statements such as "what would you do knowing this and that." Following Dr. Talwar's surgery for my abscess, I encountered unexpected complications. Three months later, the abscess developed into a complex anal fistula, which was quite surprising given its initial diagnosis as a normal abscess. Despite Dr. Talwar assuring me of a low 10-20% chance of recurrence, he gradually increased the recurrence rate to 40-50% during subsequent consultations post-surgery. Furthermore, Dr. Talwar's apparent attitude problem and his disregard for individualized patient care are concerning. Instead of addressing patients' needs on a personal level, it appears that he communicates in a manner that focuses more on generalizations and statistics, rather than providing personalized care. This attitude can be detrimental to patient-doctor relationships and may lead to feelings of frustration and dissatisfaction among those seeking medical assistance. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Sumit Talwar to others seeking medical assistance for similar conditions.

I visited doctor to consult on a wound that was not getting healed as some foreign body was still inside and had caused infection. That day I had to wait more than 3 hours for consultation as they said that he is in OT. Later when we went for consultation, the doctor was so unbothered with the issue i had and he didn't seem serious in treating it ** .I will definitely not recommend him!

Post my LSCS I developed some UTI due to which I had swelling in my abdomen with some fluid accumulated, I was referred to Dr. Sumit Talwar by my gynaecologist. He immediately proceeded with a laparoscopic surgery and got me cured in just 2 days. I was back to my normal condition, he is just an amazing doctor rather a saviour of my life, his concern and explanation made me cure and happy 😃, I would recommend him to everyone who asks me!!!

I had visited the hospital and it was health problem. Consultation was fine by the doctor. I would like to recommend the doctor to other people. I am satisfied with the treatment given by the doctor. Stunt removal was done. Another doctor prescribed medicines. There was more waiting time in the hospital when we went. It was for one hour. For cutting of stitches I came. It was surgery for gallbladder removal.
