My wife's second delivery was due in August. For this, we initially consulted a gynecologist in Kanpur whom we found through Google search. She examined my wife, advised some tests including USG, and discussed the delivery. During that conversation, both my wife and I felt we should seek a second opinion to be sure about the underlying issues. Through a friend, we came to know about Dr. Anubha Singh Chandel Maam. ** ** ** ** Our first visit to her clinic turned out to be quite dramatic. As we reached the clinic gate (as we were late), Maam was about to leave for an OT at the hospital. I recognized her immediately, though hesitantly, since my only acquaintance with her until then was through Google search images. She graciously acknowledged us, parked her car by the roadside, and came back inside the clinic to attend to us, despite being repeatedly called from the hospital. She patiently went through our reports and explained everything in detail. My wife had placenta previa, B-negative blood group, and borderline scar thickness. Despite the urgency at hospital, Maam gave us her time, cleared our doubts, and reassured us. The delivery was scheduled for the next day, and my wife delivered a healthy baby girl without any complications. Ten days later, we visited her again for a follow up. This time we arrived on time, and once again, she listened carefully to all our queries. We had assumed that stitches would be removed during this visit, but Maam explained that they were self dissolving and no cutting was required. From my experience, a good doctor is not only competent but also kind enough to understand the patient's psyche and give them a patient ear. Dr. Anubha Maam embodies all of this. For anyone sitting on the fence, unsure about which doctor to consult, I would say meet her once and experience it yourself. It doesnot cost much to consult a wonderful and highly competent doctor, and the peace of mind you gain is priceless.
