Zaart tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (arb). It works by blocking the action of a hormone called angiotensin 2 and relaxes blood vessels. Hence, it allows the blood to flow smoothly and reduces blood pressure.
Zaart tablet used alone or in combination with other medications. You are advised to take this medication as prescribed by your doctor. Medication has to be taken for several weeks to months to see or feel its benefits. Along with medications, you should change your lifestyle to control your blood pressure. Lifestyle modifications like do regular exercise, reduce your weight, avoid smoking & alcohol consumption, and take less salt in your diet.
Common side effects are dizziness, decreased blood pressure, hypoglycemia, increased potassium level in the blood, and increased blood urea. Dizziness may occur after your first dose, so get up slowly from a sitting or lying position. If the symptoms persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding & have liver and kidney disease. Your doctor may advise specific tests to monitor regularly, like kidney function, blood pressure, and potassium levels in your blood while taking this medication.
