Oltum S injection contains antibacterial medications that work by ceasing the growth of bacteria.
Cefoperazone is a cephalosporin class of medication that works by stopping cell wall synthesis. Sulbactam works by stopping the growth of bacteria and also improves the activity of cefoperazone. This medication treats antibacterial infections like respiratory tract infections (upper and lower), urinary tract infections (upper and lower), septicaemia, meningitis, skin infections, bone & joint infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, gonorrhoea and other infections of the genital tract.
Oltum S's most common side effects are diarrhoea, abnormal liver function tests, allergic reaction, and anaemia. Most of the side effects remain for a shorter duration. If you experience them for a more extended period, consult your physician.
