Cabermax is a dopamine agonist. It works by stimulating receptors that inhibit the secretion of the hormone prolactin, lowering your body's prolactin levels. Abnormally high prolactin levels can cause menstrual changes in women, impotence in men, and breast changes in both sexes. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor.
Alcohol consumption needs to be avoided while on this medication as it may increase the risk of dizziness and drowsiness.
The most common side effects are dizziness, nausea, fatigue, palpitations, vertigo, anxiety, insomnia, breast pain, constipation, abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea, toothache, pain, rhinitis, and anorexia.
