AMCARD 2.5MG 10TAB

Amcard table is an antihypertensive that helps control high blood pressure and prevent chest pain resulting from narrowing, cramping of the blood vessels of the heart muscles, which are caused due to hypertension and angina pectoris (prinzmetal and variant angina). It is used alone or along with other medication.

This medication may cause side effects such as headache, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain and sleepiness, oedema, flushing, altered bowel habits, diarrhoea, constipation, indigestion, tiredness, weakness, visual disturbances, double vision, muscle cramps and swollen ankles. Inform your doctor if these effects persist for a longer duration.

Please do not exceed more than the recommended dose as it may lead to toxicity and adverse effects. Avoid consuming alcohol, smoking, maintain a balanced diet with regular exercise, restrict salt intake.

Do not stop the medication. Sudden abrupt discontinuation may cause an increase in blood pressure and leads to severe complications. You have to complete the course of the medication as prescribed by your doctor even if you feel better.

Inform your doctor if you suffered from cardiogenic shock, unstable angina pectoris or heart failure after a heart attack, hypotension.

Before taking this medication, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or intend to be pregnant, have liver & kidney problems, and use any other medications.
