Q. What is the biggest hole in your heart? What is missing in your life?

The biggest hole in my heart is the lack of meaningful connections with others. I often feel isolated and disconnected from the people around me, even when I'm surrounded by them. This feeling of loneliness weighs heavy on my heart, as it is something that no physical possession or material gain can ever fill.
What's missing in my life are relationships where I feel seen, heard and understood; where there is a sense of belonging and mutual support. Unfortunately, these days it has become increasingly difficult to find such deep connections with others as technology has made it easier to stay distanced by maintaining shallow virtual relationships over social media platforms or through text messages rather than engaging deeply with each other face-to-face.
The lack of authentic connection leaves an emptiness inside me - an inability to express my true self because trying to fit into societal norms takes more energy and time than living authentically does. It’s a struggle but one that I believe must be faced if we are ever to truly overcome our most profound feelings of loneliness and isolation; because only once we have opened up our hearts completely will we be able to truly experience a deep connection with another person - one that transcends all boundaries created by differences in race, culture or language.
