Q. What did your breast lump feel like?
Doctor Answer is medically reviewed by SecondMedic medical review team.
A breast lump can feel a number of different ways. Generally, it will feel like a solid lump in the breast area, or maybe an irregularly shaped mass that's different than the surrounding tissue. It can also be firm or soft and either moveable or fixed to the tissue. Many people describe having a tenderness, discomfort, and sensitivity when touching the area around the lump. Depending on other symptoms associated with it, such as pain and itching, you may want to get it checked out by a doctor for further investigation.
