What are SecondMedic web stories?
Web stories are short, full-screen, tappable health explainers — the same format
you see in a social feed, but published on our own site and built on Google's AMP web
story standard. Each one takes a single health question and answers it in a handful of
cards: what a symptom usually means, which test confirms it, what the numbers on a
report indicate, or how a treatment works week by week. They are designed to be read
in under a minute on a phone, which makes them a useful first step when you want an
orientation rather than a full article.
How are web stories different from our blog?
A blog post is written to be read in depth: it carries the reasoning, the caveats, the
references and the FAQ. A web story is written to be scanned. It carries one idea per
card, leans on images, and links through to the fuller article when you want the
detail. Both are produced by the same team and held to the same review standard, so
the medical substance is identical — only the depth and the format change.
Who writes and reviews these stories?
Every story is drafted from published clinical guidance and reviewed by a qualified
doctor on the SecondMedic panel before it goes live. They are health education, not
medical advice: they cannot account for your history, medication or test results. If a
story raises something that applies to you, book a consultation and talk it through
with a doctor who can see your case.
