Thyrocare Liver Function Test:

A liver function test (LFT) is a group of blood tests that are used to assess the health of the liver and identify any potential liver damage or disease. These tests measure the levels of certain enzymes and proteins in the blood that are produced by the liver, including aspartate transaminase (AST), alanine transaminase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and total bilirubin. High levels of these enzymes and proteins may indicate liver damage or disease, such as hepatitis or cirrhosis. A LFT may also include a measurement of the blood protein albumin and the prothrombin time (PT) which can be used to evaluate liver function and to monitor the effectiveness of treatment.
