this eye drops are a combination of two drugs: dexamethasone and tobramycin. dexamethasone is a steroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make eyes red, swollen, and itchy. tobramycin is an antibiotic. it stops the growth of bacteria in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins that bacteria.

this eye drop should only be used in the affected eye. read the instructions for use carefully before using the drug. use in the correct dosage and duration as recommended by your doctor or as directed on the label. wash your hands before using this medicine. do not stop your dose even when you feel better. if you stop taking medicine too soon, the infection may return.

use of this medication may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. they are usually temporary and resolved over time. however, if they persist or worsen, tell your doctor. in case of accidental contact with ears, nose or mouth, rinse immediately with water.
