Fever is a rise in body temperature, usually due to an infection. But not all fevers are the same.
Caused by viruses. Comes with cold, cough, body aches. Usually mild and goes away in 3–7 days.
Caused by bacteria. High fever, localized pain, may form pus. Needs antibiotics to cure.
Viral = general symptoms & no antibiotics.
See a doctor if your fever lasts more than 3 days, crosses 103°F, or is accompanied by severe symptoms like confusion, rash, or breathing difficulty.
